I was thinking of doing a blog post about Laura Nyro with facts and trivia and the small nuances that made her feel more comfortable behind the stage rather than on its front. But her music is so much more than that, so much richer and deeper in it’s tapestry than “nuances” and “facts” and “trivia.” This was a woman who touched artists, musicians and fans across a multitude of genres and then left us long before her time. I think, like Nina (in my previous post), we should just let her music speak for itself. And if you’re really interested in all that, check out the Wikipedia page or the NY Times reference page about her. They are simply full of information that falls short of the majesty of her music.
